We are working on our number line in numeracy. We love to use the human number line to skip count and add.  

We went on a scavenger hunt to the woods to look out for signs of summer. We ticked off the items we saw on our list. We used a template of a butterfly to capture different textures and surfaces. At the end we played in the playground. We were so lucky as it was a very sunny day.  

We tested out different objects to see if they would float or sink. First we predicted whether they would float or sink and then we carried out the experiment. All of our predictions were correct!!  

We were doing procedure writing in English explaining how to make different things. We made yummy chocolate rice buns and then we wrote up the recipe we used. The best part was eating up the buns!!  

 We entered a competition to win planting resources and we won!!! We are all planting different vegetables like peas, beetroot, salad leaves, spinach and radishes. We are taking care to make sure our plants have enough sunlight and water. We are also learning about healthy food and the food pyramid. We can't wait to eat our yummy and healthy veggies.

 We are learning all about positional language in maths. We read the book Rosie's Walk and then mapped out the hen's journey.
